Kobe's era is drawing to a close. This year will be his final thrust to salvage what he can. Considering he will be 29 years of age, coupled with the mileage he has on his tires, it is reasonable to expect the inevitable decline.
Some may say that Jordan got his rings late in his career. They are forgetting the number of regular and playoff games Jordan had played by that time compared to Kobe.
Shaq just managed to get one up on Kobe with his fourth championship. But that seems to be the last one he will ever get, now that he is 34 and struck with constant injuries.
